Box office gold
This guy is right. Could we possibly have another black cop/white cop buddy buddy movie? It peaked with Running Scared and we really don't need any more. Can't we just move along?

Don't call me Shirley.
Over at Crooked Timber, a list has been drawn up of the top ten books of the year that the author didn't read. I like that. On my perpetual to do list is a short stack of very long books that were written quite a long time ago. Like Moby Dick. But in terms of books froom this year that I want to to read but haven't, the list isn't too long. I will probably read them next year when they are released in paperback as I absolutely hate hardcovers. As of now I'm waiting for James Wolcott's Attack Poodles and Hendrik Hertzberg's Politics: Observations and Arguments 1966-2004 to be released in friendly paperback form. And on a related note, I don't think I want Pedro Martinez.

Bulletin Bulletin Bulletin
Three quick things.
1: It's nice to see that Tom Friedman has finally decided to say something.
2: James Wolcott's Blog is just too good sometimes.
3: Pointless Waste of Time has been added to my Blogroll because ... well this is why. Oh and this too (Greg this is just for you really).
Such things are what I'm thankful for. Hope all your turkee was good. I'm having mine tomorrow.
